Halibut Cheeks are medallion-shaped fillets, that are carefully hand cut from the halibut. Halibut Cheeks are tender, moist and succulent and can be served as a main course baked, sauteed or with a seasoned sauce. Our halibut is harvested in the Gulf of Alaska, and processed in Kodiak. The season runs from March to November. Halibut fishermen use baited hooks attached to groundlines to catch the halibut. The halibut fishery is closely managed by the National Marine Fisheries Service to ensure that it halibut is sustainably harvested.
